GEORGIAN WINE VESSEL
Mastercourse by Georgi Pachkoria

Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre in cooperation with Daugavpils Clay Art Centre invite ceramic artists and students to apply for Georgian Wine Vessel Mastercourse by Georgian artist Georgi Pachkoria which will take place in Ceramic Laboratory at Daugavpils fortress from July 24 till July 30, 2016, within frames of Latvia International Ceramics Biennale.
During the Mastercourse ceramic artists and students will be offered to learn traditional and non-traditional methods of modeling Georgian wine vessels, to get acquainted with Georgian winery and cultural traditions and history, as well as to create and to fire their own artworks under the guidance of Georgi Pachkoria, the Georgian ceramic artist. The final exhibition will be arranged by the end of the Mastercourse.

Mastercourse fee:
EUR 400-500. The precise fee and the payment procedure will be specified to Mastercourse participants later.
Mastercourse fee includes:
- Teaching fee;
- Accommodation at Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre’s Residency in a single hotel type room with Bathroom, WC, TV, Wi-Fi;
- Catering;
- 24 hour access to studio;
- Materials and tools necessary for the Mastercourse;
- Firing;
- Guided tours to Daugavpils mark Rothko Art Centre and Daugavpils Fortress, as well as presentations;
- Electronic catalogue of Mastercourse’s final exhibition.
Fee does not include:
- Participants’ travelling expenses to Daugavpils and back.
Application procedure:
The filled in SYMPOSIUM_APPLICATION_2016 and the applicants portfolio (preferably in pdf) must be submitted by e-mailing to [email protected] until June 17, 2016 (including).
The applications will be evaluated by the organisers and acceptance or rejection letters will be sent to applicants by June 20, 2016.
